On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, on Monday, November 21st and Tuesday, November 22nd, the Desk against Gender Violence, established last June through a synergy between the Sant'Anna School, the University of Pisa and the Scuola Normale, has organized the conference "Università e pratiche di contrasto alla violenza di genere".

The first day will include a projection, at 9 p.m., of the film "A Promising Woman" by Emerald Fennel, at the Cinema Arsenale hall in Pisa, with a subsequent debate curated by Feminisms, a laboratory activated by some components of the University of Pisa. The second day of the event is dedicated to the conference "Università e pratiche di contrasto alla violenza di genere”, starting at 10 a.m. at "Le Benedettine" Conference Center. The initiative is an important moment of reflection to explore the issue of gender-based violence in the university context, presenting the actions taken for its contrast and prevention, as well as the psychological services offered to support victims.

Speakers will include Francesca Capone, professor of International Law at the Dirpolis Institute (Law, Politics, Development), Alessandra Tongiorgi and Matteo Landi, from the Sant'Anna School, along with Gaetana Morgante, professor of Criminal Law at the Dirpolis Institute (Law, Politics, Development).
